Payment of Tuition: I understand that the only method of payment accepted by Little Ambassadors’ Academy is ACH payments through their in-house server, Tuition Express. I will not be responsible for running my own tuition, for it will be processed automatically on the 4th of each month, which will be adjusted for weekends and holidays. *

Late or Unpaid Tuition: If payment in full is not received when due, I agree to pay a late fee of 15 % of my child’s tuition. All late fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. The school follows state specific required time frames on tuition and modification notices. I understand that if my account is delinquent for more than two weeks, I may be asked to withdraw my child until my account is made current. Any unpaid tuition fees may be sent to a third-party collection agency, where I will be held accountable for all fees associated with third- party collection agency. *

Declined Billing: I understand that a processing fee will be charged to my account for all insufficient bank accounts and returned checks. This fee of $35 is in addition to any charges that my bank or financial institution may charge me. I understand that any non-sufficient funds will be automatically resubmitted up to three times. I further understand that once my payment has been processed electronically, the payment is no longer negotiable and will not be returned. *

Charges and Procedure for Late Pick-Up: LAA is open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday all year except for holidays and professional development days (these are listed in the family handbook). If I fail to pick up my child by the scheduled closing time, I will be charged a late fee of $15 dollars per child every 15 minutes after closing until the child is picked up. *

Key FOB: I will pay the refundable $100 deposit for two Key FOBs which will allow me access into LAA. If I lose a Key FOB I will pay $50 per FOB to have it replaced. *

Daily Sign-in and Sign-out: I agree to sign my child in and out every day using the school’s attendance program. *

Nap Policy: I understand that the only time I am not allowed to drop-off my child at LAA is during nap hours 12:30-2:30 pm. *

I give permission for my child to participate in off-campus activities that include nature walks and the use of Maywood Park- (Cherrydale Campus families only). Other off-site activities will require a one-time use permission slip and will be communicated to parents by administration.

Illness: I understand that I will be notified should my child become ill during the day and that I will pick up my child promptly or make arrangements for an authorized emergency contact person to pick up within one hour of such notification. If my child is exposed or contracts a communicable disease, I agree to notify the school and I understand that my child will be re-admitted according to the re-admission criteria in the family handbook. *

Photographs, Videos and Audio Tapes: I understand and agree that, in consideration for being allowed to photographs, videotape or audio record my child on company property, I shall only use such recording for lawful and private home use, and will not publish, publicly display or sell such recordings. I also understand that I must have written permission before capturing any image of the children or staff in the school. *

Interviewing Children And Inspecting Records: I understand that the state childcare regulatory enforcement and administration agency and the local department of social services or child protective services has the authority to interview children or staff, to inspect and audit facility records, to interview children privately, to observe the physical condition of the children in the school, to make provisions for the independent medical examination by a licensed physician of any child, and to contact or instruct any other appropriate authority to do the same, without prior notice or consent by myself or by the school. *

Withdrawal from Program: I understand that I must provide 45 days written notice of withdrawal from the program. Whether or not my child attends, I agree to pay all tuition and fees owed for 45 days following my written notice of withdrawal from the program. If this notification is not provided, I agree to pay all tuition and fees owed for those 45 days. I understand that when my child is withdrawn, he/she will only be eligible for re-admission based upon space availability and all other enrollment criteria. If my child is selected for re-enrollment, I will be required to complete an entire new enrollment agreement at the current rate and pay a new non-refundable registration fee at the current rate. If there is an outstanding balance when my child was withdrawn, I will be required to bring my account current prior to completing a re-enrollment application. I understand all fees are non-refundable. *

Holidays: I understand that the scheduled school closings are on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the day after Thanksgiving, and the week of Winter Break. For a full listing of school closures please see the Family Handbook. I agree that I will not receive a refund or credit or any other allowance for holidays. If a holiday falls on a weekend, it will be observed either the preceding Friday or following Monday. *

Absences/Vacations: I agree to inform the school immediately if my child will be absent on any day. I understand that no allowances, credits, refunds, or make up days shall be made for occasional absences. I understand that I am allotted two vacation credits per school year (September- August.) One vacation credit is equivalent to 20% off one week's tuition. Families must give two weeks prior notice when requesting to use a vacation credit for an absence. My regular contracted tuition is due for all weeks when my child attends any part of the week. There is no credit given for single days. I also understand if I withdraw my child during vacation, I will be required to pay the non-refundable registration fee again upon return. *

Student Re-entry: I understand and agree that LAA reserves the right to enforce student re-entry after an extended absence resulting from a diagnosed physical or mental health challenge, and/or disability. A re-entry plan will only be initiated when the student is cleared to return to LAA. *

Inclement Weather, Other Disasters, and Public Health Issues: I understand that it is the school’s intention to be open and provide exceptional child care service every weekday of the year, excluding holidays, but inclement weather natural/national disaster, major building issues, or public health issues may disrupt service. Little Ambassadors’ Academy will communicate any closures with families and provide updates. I agree that in the event that the school is closed, I will continue to be responsible for my tuition and fees payments in their entirety. *

All Policies & State Regulations: I understand that the above is not an all-inclusive list of policies, and that my child, my family members, authorized agents and I are bound by state & county child care regulations, the Family Handbook, and all other company policies, which may be modified at any time without notice. Communicable Disease: I agree to inform the center within 24 hours or the next business day after my child or any member of the immediate household has developed a reportable communicable disease, as defined by the State Board of Health, except for life threatening diseases, which must be reported immediately. *

Emergency Medical Care I understand if there is an objection to seeking emergency medical care, a statement should be obtained from me stating the objection and the reason for the objection. *

Medical Emergencies: I understand that LAA will not be responsible for bills resulting from necessary care for students in emergencies. It is important that parents be aware of their responsibilities for any charges incurred. *

Custody: I understand that appropriate paperwork such as custody papers shall be attached if a parent is not allowed to pick up the child. Section 22.1‐4.3 of the Code of Virginia states unless a court order has been issued to the contrary, the non‐custodial parent of a student enrolled in a public school or day center must be included, upon the request of such non‐custodial parent, as an emergency contact for events occurring during school or day care activities. *

LAA Directory: At the beginning of each school year, LAA will send out a classroom roster which includes parent email addresses. LAA has your consent to add your email addresses to your child’s classroom roster. The Family Directory is intended to be used for child/classroom related communication (play dates, birthday parties, school sponsored events, etc.). You agree that by having access to the family directory, you will not use the personal contact information for any matters unrelated to classroom/child specific communications. *

No Modifications: No terms of this agreement may be altered, revised, modified or deleted by any person except in cases of policy change or rate change to which both the director and I must initial. Any alterations, revision, modification or deletions of any term of this agreement are null and void. *

Legal Action: Should legal action, for any reason, be taken against LAA or any employee or agent thereof on my child's behalf and LAA or its agent not be found at fault, I agree to pay any attorney’s fees, court fees, damages or other costs that LAA or its agents should incur to defend itself against such action. *
